What I talk about when I talk about puzzles

People may try to stop me, and convince me I'm wrong, but I won't change.

It's not about the answer.

It's about the idea--an interpretation of a purposely cryptic clue.

Recently, Fenix couldn't have said it better:

A good idea in the wrong city could lead to progress if applied properly in the correct city.

So many posts in the various forums devoted to The Secret: A Treasure Hunt get ignored because the ultimate answers are far fetched or don't align with the preconceived notions of how this particular puzzle should end. However, each of these answers has a dozen individual interpretations of clues leading to that answer that could be correct. Even if the true application of said interpretation is a few miles away.

When I personally post an idea, it's not because I believe the idea is correct or even that I think my post leads to the proper end point. I post because an idea gets me thinking and challenges my impression of what a puzzle can be.

This excites me.

I don't expect folks to agree with me. But I do expect them to see the merits in a new interpretation that's supported by patterns, evidence, or conjoined clues.

And to consider that not everything is as we want it to be.

Nobody's going to win all the time. On the highway of life you can't always be in the fast lane.
