When The Walls Come Tumblin’ Tumblin’ Down

Some people say I’m obnoxious and lazy....I’m uneducated and my opinion means nothing.

....but on a good day I’m rather observant. Unfortunately it can take time. Allow me to introduce you to F.B. Walls, president of the YMCA of Montreal in the 50’s. He even laid the cornerstone of the new YMCA building on Drummond.

A granite cornerstone with the name Walls on it, almost directly across from the Mount Stephen Club...Of granite walls perhaps?

Friends getting old, we all dig for gold. The crumbs and pieces....

Thanks Kris. Look into Henry F. Hall if you have some time. His significance to Sir George Williams seems unparalleled. His building is a bit too far for my liking, 3 blocks west on de Maisonneuve but I can't help but think how great of a connection he would be.
