Babe, you got it wrong. Please, turn your fears into trust, to trust. I get it, several of you are wondering what's with the puzzles and music bs...tell us where the casques are already. Allow me to explain myself. I witness so many individuals consuming the same information day in, day out in their respective bubbles. Information which can appear so illogical an outsider may question their actual sanity. Pushing anything they don't like aside, never seeking to understand, and constantly shouting over each other in whatever virtual venue suits their fancy. Trapped in a maze avoiding the the exit, so afraid of being wrong they are willing to sacrifice the entire world and our existence before swallowing their pride.
I needed to get back to why I dig this all so much. For the last few years, I've had the opportunity to work with a few gentleman who are very different from myself. We have different careers, tastes, demeanors, ideas...heck we are just different people. Yet, we found a way to listen and consider the alternatives. Sometimes our ideas even coalesce in a way that is pretty damn brilliant. I wanted a reminder of what makes us tick, how we are truly different, and why it's so valuable to me. Often, when we break down the walls and venture into that unknown with impartial optimism, the results are astounding.
But onto the music...I had to take this to something a bit more current. I don't quite remember when or how I found out about Labrinth. I'm pretty sure he came through as part of LSD while Spotify was on continuous play. I'm a bit of a sucker for clever arrangements.
There's not a whole lot for me to say about this one other than, let your mind go and get lost in it. The more I listen, the deeper it hits. Ends & Begins is a modern day love story in a world consumed by so much hate.
